OWNER'S COMMENT: Meltemi is a cruising sailboat built to travel the world. She features: a spacious aft cockpit; a main cabin with galley to port, navigation station and quarter berth to starboard, and full length settee berths with cabinets over; and a forward cabin with spacious v-berth and head. She has ample storage and is nicely finished below.
Cabot 36's are strongly constructed and have sailed on many ocean passages. The cabin is roomy and there is plenty of light. Meltemi was one of the last of these fine yachts to be built. Meltemi has a number of custom features such as additional teak cabinetry in the forward and main cabin. The standing rigging and lifelines were replaced in 2018. The engine was replaced along with the prop shaft, propeller, cutlass bearing and all cooling and exhaust hoses in 2010 and have only 291 hours of use. Sails in very good condition with extra set of older sails. 4G radar, chart plotter, radar mount new in box. There is also a new Lewmar windlass that was never installed plus a130 watt solar panel and charge controller.

BROKER'S COMMENT: This is a rarity in this market: a well equipped and well built ocean capable yacht with an asking price under $40k CDN. Cabots were known for the quality of their construction. This one has had all of the big things done to her: sails, engine and rigging. There is lots of new gear included. She needs some TLC, mostly associated with brightwork and the cabin sole. I believe that she is a bargain for the right Buyer.
